Who we are

Color By Day ("we," "us," "our") operates a print fulfillment platform that helps artists and shop owners (our "sellers") get their artwork printed and shipped to their customers ("buyers"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create a seller account, we collect your email address, shop name, and optional branding details (logo, accent color, packing note).

Order information. To fulfill and ship a print order, we collect the buyer's name, email address, and shipping address, along with the artwork file and print options (size, paper, framing) submitted for that order.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers — Stripe handles and secures that data directly.

Connected store information. If a seller connects a third-party sales channel (such as Etsy) to automatically import orders, we access order and shop information from that channel only as needed to fulfill those orders, using that channel's own authorization (OAuth) system.

How we use this information

• To print, pack, and ship orders to the correct buyer address
• To send order, payment, and shipping confirmation emails
• To process payments and prevent fraud
• To provide customer support to sellers and, when needed, their buyers
• To maintain and improve the reliability of the platform

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the platform, each of which processes relevant data only as needed to perform its function:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Shippo — shipping label purchase and carrier rate calculation (shares buyer name/address with the carrier, e.g. USPS)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (order and shipping notifications)
• Supabase — database hosting and file storage
• Etsy — order import for sellers who choose to connect their Etsy shop

Data retention

We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, comply with tax and accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes. Sellers may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting us, subject to records we're required to keep for legal or accounting purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session while using the platform. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. Buyers whose orders are fulfilled through a seller's shop can also contact us directly with any privacy questions about their order.

Children's privacy

Our platform is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
